Holiday Closure Period
Our office will be closed Monday 9 December to Friday 13 December, as well as from midday Friday 20 December until midday on Monday 6 January 2025.
We will not have capacity to provide assistance, advice or advocacy until 2025.
We appreciate that the holiday period is a difficult time of year for our community and this may be exacerbated by the stress of legal problems.
It is vitally important that we can provide non-judgemental affirming, holistic and practical support to our community and our staff work incredibly hard to bridge access to justice gaps for our communities within the confines of our extremely limited resources.
We apologise for any inconvenience or distress caused by this longer closure period but we need to ensure that we are spending the time focusing on strengthening our team’s capacity to provide more comprehensive support into 2025.
If you need legal assistance during this period you can contact Legal Aid Queensland on 1300 65 11 88 for information and guidance. Please note that they will be closed between 2pm on 24 December 2024 and 2 January 2025. You can also review the Community Legal Centres Queensland website to find out which services are open over the holiday period.
