We have a new President
We are excited to introduce our new President, Kathryn Cramp. Kathryn is a taxation and employment lawyer, who displays a strong passion for supporting the LGBTIQA+ community and access to justice. Welcome, Kathryn! We look forward to continuing to have your knowledge, passion, and involvement with the service in your new position as President.
Get to know Kathryn
Kathryn has been volunteering with the LGBTI Legal Service since in 2014 and became a member of the Management Committee in 2019. Kathryn acts as President and Executive Director of the Legal Service preparing law reform submissions, creating community legal education material and creating fundraising opportunities. She also serves on the Brisbane South Primary Health Network Community Advisory Board addressing LGBTIQA+ issues in the context of health care delivery by general practitioners.
Kathryn’s volunteer history includes on the management committees of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights, Brisbane Pride and UQ Union. She also volunteered as the Queensland Women’s Coordinator for Out For Australia, as Legal Assistant to the Asylum & Refugee Law Project and as a student volunteer with the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service and Caxton Legal Centre.
